According to the Do Not Call (DNC) Registry rules, real estate brokers are generally prohibited from calling numbers listed on the DNC registry to solicit business for selling or buying a home. It doesn’t matter if you get the phone number off Paragon, your own contacts, or from a third party vendor.

Unless you’ve had a real estate transaction with that person within the past 18 months (or with their written consent), brokers cannot cold-call people on the Do Not Call list to try and list their property for sale.

PROTECT YOURSELF BY CHECKING THE DNC BEFORE MAKING CALLS.  To reduce the risk of lawsuits as a result of complaints by homeowners, you can look up any number on the National Do Not Call Registry, and don’t call those numbers.

PS. This article refers to National regulations, and is just one part of normal due diligence, which also requires you check Paragon to make sure the property isn’t already relisted with another brokerage.

Did you want some vital information on your Listing within Paragon? The Listing Activity Report is great for that, but a common question WVMLS gets is what the numbers mean. Here is a quick guide on how to not only get to the report, but also what those numbers mean:

Getting to the Listing Activity Report:

From Input Maintenance click View Activity Report in the left menu (pictured below)

Once inside the listing activity report you'll see some information about your listing in the top half of the report and then your Listing Statistics in the bottom half (pictured below):

Here is a list of what those statistics mean:

Matched Saved Searches - This number is based off the amount of times your listing is included as a result in a saved search.

Matched Contacts - This number is based off how many contacts have your listing as a result in their saved search. Insight: The above example shows 337 which is more than the Matched Saved Searches informing us that there are some saved searches used for multiple contacts.

Property Details Viewed - This number is based off how many times your listing is viewed in a single listing detail view (Ex. Full Detail) inside of Paragon.

Views from Email - This number is based off the amount of times an link was clicked or tapped inside an email sent from Paragon.

Favorite/Possible/Cart - This number is the amount of times that your listing has been marked as "Favorite" or "Possible" within Collaboration Center or added to a Listing Cart in Paragon.

Emailed from System - This number is based on the amount of times that your listing has been emailed out of Paragon either in automatic notifications or manual emails.

Total Hits - This is a combined number that covers any time your listing is viewed in a single listing detail view in Paragon, Collab Center, or emailed report views.

Agent Hits - This number is the amount of times that an agent views your listing in a single listing detail view.

Unique Agent Hits - This number takes the Agent Hits count and will only display the unique amount of agents. (Ex. 215 Agent hits, 180 Unique Agent Hits) In the case of the above example, Paragon is working to fix the unique agent/client hits calculations.

Client Hits - This number is the amount of times that a client views your listing in a single from an email or collab center. It is limited to only 1 hit per client per 24 hours.

Unique Client Hits - This number takes the Client Hit count and will only display the unique amount of clients. (Ex. 111 Client hits, 60 Unique Client Hits) In the case of the above example, Paragon is working to fix the unique agent/client hits calculations.
